  2. 같은 폴더의 settings.json.burndown-backup을 settings.json으로 되돌립니다.

MongleBar is now Burndown

From 2.0 the app is called Burndown and the character is gone. Update from the App Store; your usage history and settings carry over. Instead of a character, the menu bar shows a percentage and the time until reset, like 64% 1h42m.

I can't find Burndown in the menu bar

With many menu bar icons, it may be hidden behind the notch on MacBook displays. Quit a few other menu bar apps, or hold ⌘ and drag icons to reorder them.

macOS asks about Keychain access

This lets Burndown read the sign-in that Claude Code saved on your Mac. Enter your Mac password and click [Always Allow]. macOS may ask again when Claude Code refreshes its sign-in. Burndown only uses it to check your usage. If you denied it, click [Allow again] in the popover or [Allow Keychain access again] in Settings > Account & About, or sign in with your browser.

It says I need to sign in

If you don't use Claude Code, click [Sign in with Claude] and approve in your browser. If the browser doesn't return, click [Paste a code instead] and paste the code shown. Loading usage requires a Claude Pro or Max subscription.

"Today's busiest projects" doesn't show in the weekly report

Click [Choose folder…] in the report or under .claude folder in Settings > Account & About, then select the .claude folder in your home folder. Press ⌘⇧. if hidden folders don't show. Burndown only counts tokens and lines and never stores or sends conversations.

Turning off session monitoring / removing the hooks by hand

Click Remove in Settings > Sessions. Burndown deletes only the hooks it added to settings.json and leaves everything else as it was. Please do this before deleting the app.

If you already deleted the app, either of these cleans up:

  1. Open ~/.claude/settings.json in a text editor and, under hooks, delete the entries whose command contains 127.0.0.1:54546/event.
  2. Restore settings.json.burndown-backup in the same folder as settings.json. The backup is the file from the first time you turned session monitoring on, so later changes are lost. If there was no settings.json at that time, there is no backup; use option 1.

Leftover hooks do no harm: with Burndown closed they exit quietly within 0.3 seconds and Claude Code runs as usual.

I'm moving from the web version (MongleBar 1.1.x)

  1. Quit MongleBar in Activity Monitor.
  2. Move the old MongleBar in Applications to the Trash.
  3. Install Burndown from the App Store and open it. macOS may ask about Keychain access once more, and if you signed in with your browser, sign in once more. Your settings and history carry over.
